Last updated: July 14, 2026
Welcome to Logumentary.
Logumentary is a documentary discovery platform where people can find documentaries, save titles, build collections, and participate in community discussion as features become available.
By using Logumentary, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Using Logumentary
You may use Logumentary for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You agree to use the site in a respectful and lawful way. You may not use Logumentary to spam, harass others, interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape large amounts of data, or misuse the service.
Logumentary is still growing, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
2. Accounts
Some features may require an account.
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep access to your account secure. Logumentary may use email confirmation links, login codes, or other passwordless authentication methods.
You are responsible for activity that happens through your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, please contact us.
We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the site, violate these Terms, or create security, legal, or operational concerns.
3. Community features
Logumentary may allow users to save documentaries, rate titles, post comments or reviews, create lists, or participate in other community features.
You are responsible for anything you submit to Logumentary.
Please do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, sexually explicit, spam, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate.
Please also avoid posting personal information that you do not want to be public.
4. Public content
Some activity on Logumentary may be visible to other users, such as your display name, published comments or reviews, ratings, saved titles, lists, or other community activity depending on the features available.
Private account information, such as your email address, is not displayed publicly by Logumentary.
5. Moderation
Logumentary may review, approve, hide, reject, edit for formatting, or remove user-submitted content.
Comments and reviews may be held for moderation before appearing publicly. We may remove content that we believe is spam, abusive, inappropriate, irrelevant, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the site.
We are not required to publish or keep any user content.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit to Logumentary.
By submitting content, you give Logumentary permission to host, display, publish, moderate, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the site. This includes showing your comments, reviews, ratings, lists, or other community contributions on Logumentary.
If you delete content or request deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to remove it from public display, subject to technical, backup, legal, security, and operational limitations.
7. Logumentary content
Logumentary’s name, branding, design, original writing, curated lists, layout, and other original materials belong to Logumentary or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or exploit Logumentary’s original content or design without permission, except where allowed by law.
8. Documentary information and TMDB
Logumentary may display documentary titles, posters, descriptions, ratings, release dates, and other metadata from third-party sources, including The Movie Database, also known as TMDB.
Logumentary uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Documentary information may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or subject to change. Logumentary does not guarantee that titles, ratings, images, descriptions, availability, or other metadata are always accurate or up to date.
All third-party titles, images, trademarks, and metadata remain the property of their respective owners.
9. External links and streaming availability
Logumentary may link to third-party websites, streaming services, trailers, articles, or other resources.
We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, policies, privacy practices, or accuracy.
A link from Logumentary does not mean we endorse that third-party site or service.
10. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feature requests, you allow Logumentary to use that feedback to improve the site without compensation or obligation.
We appreciate feedback, but submitting an idea does not give you ownership over any feature or improvement Logumentary may later develop.
11. Availability and changes
Logumentary is provided as an evolving service.
We try to keep the site available and useful, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that all information will always be accurate.
We may update, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the site as Logumentary grows.
12. No professional advice
Logumentary is for documentary discovery, discussion, and community purposes only.
Content on Logumentary, including documentary descriptions, ratings, curated lists, comments, reviews, and third-party metadata, should not be treated as professional advice.
Documentaries may include opinions, interpretations, or claims that Logumentary has not independently verified.
13. Privacy
Your use of Logumentary is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
14. Limitation of responsibility
We do our best to operate Logumentary responsibly, but your use of the site is at your own discretion.
To the extent allowed by law, Logumentary is not responsible for losses or damages arising from your use of the site, your reliance on documentary information or user content, third-party services, technical issues, unavailable features, inaccurate metadata, or content submitted by other users.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or protections that cannot be limited under applicable law.
15. Ending your use of Logumentary
You may stop using Logumentary at any time.
You may contact us to request account deletion. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, moderation, backup, or operational reasons.
We may suspend or remove access to Logumentary if a user violates these Terms, misuses the site, or creates legal, security, or operational concerns.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it informally by contacting Logumentary. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be handled through the courts or other dispute resolution process available under applicable law.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as Logumentary grows or as legal, technical, or business needs change.
When we update the Terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of Logumentary after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
